ARTISTE BIOGRAPHY: Goon Maan


Asante Kwabena, popularly known by his stage name, Goon Mane, is a hip hop/dancehall artist. He was born on the 1st of January, 1989 in Kumasi, Ghana and later relocated to Germany at the age of 14.
Goon's musical talent, not long to be hidden, showed itself at the age of 15, when he started out as a Rapper. His first performance was at the Enije talent show in 2006. He then joined a rap group, DTC, in 2008. The group broke out in 2010 and in 2011, Goon Mane branched out as a dancehall artist.


Keen on developing himself as a Dancehall performer, he followed the Jamaican music industry and studied Jamaican Patois - a language associated with many Jamaican singing gurus. Over the years, Goon Mane has made a name for himself in the German music world, where he has performed his songs at several events and functions. He has also performed alongside some big names in the industry, some highlights being Consum Düsseldorf in 2007, where he performed his first ever song, 'Bad Gyal’, at the Beenie Man Show. Goon performed this song again at the

Kcee and Bracket show in Essen, Germany. In 2015, he sang at Shatta Wale's German tour in Hamburg.
Goon gets his inspiration from such artists as Vybes Kartel, Beenie Man, Sizzla Kolongi, Elephant Man, Ninja Man,Samini and Bounty Killa, just to name a few. He has written several songs and has a new album up his sleeve which he is currently promoting internationally. He has an undeniable musical talent, and is genius at pleasing his crowd whenever he performs. His passion will surely take him far and he is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the music world.
