HIS INFLUENCES AND MUSICAL INSPIRATION
Ever since childhood, MYSTIK SEYDINA always loved listening to engaged and conscientious reggae artists such as Alpha Bondy, Lucky Dube or Burning Spear and Culture. Last but not least, he discovered Tiken Jah Fakoly, of which he is still a fan.
HIS MUSICAL JOURNEY
In 1996, he began his career with the group « Black Master Xibaar » a rap trio with Ndongo Baye Fall & Papa Mbakhe. MYSTIK SEYDINA found his place in the group thanks to his reggae vibe and suave voice.
In 2000, the group separated, and MYSTIK SEYDINA launched a solo career with the help of Ndiouga Mineté . This reggae fusion brought them success in the land of Teranga. Five years later, he created a new group “Cultural Vibration” and recorded his first album L'HUMANITE SOUFFRE (Humanity Suffers), a spotlight on Africa’s misfortunes, produced by his label "GAÏNDE CULTURE”.
In May 2013, a second album was born « Y A QUE L'ESPOIR » (There Is Only Hope), 14 songs recorded in France by his label "GAÏNDE CULTURE” in partnership with Sistalau Production.
The album was a continuation of his previous one, providing hope for a united Africa. It was nominated “Best African Reggae Album” in 2015 by the Victoires du Reggae in France.
MYSTIK SEYDINA placed second behind his idol Tiken Jah Fakoly !
In 2014, he released an eight title EP “DEDOMMAGER MOI” (Compensate me) produced by "GAÏNDE CULTURE”, available on Bandcamp. The eight songs speak of recognition for the Black diaspora during its many years of slavery.
Released August 5th 2015, his third album DESARMER (Disarm), has 19 songs recorded between France and Argentina and produced by "GAÏNDE CULTURE”.
This third album denounces violence and the inequalities of humanity.
