Conscious Queen Takes Best Radio Reggae Show Plaque At RTP 2017

Sneak-flipping through Pink 96.9 fm's Conscious Queen's six year old radio career diary, last Saturday night [28.10.17] is found circled blue, denoting the end of a seemingly grey service period and a start date of the Queen's career award win celebrations. It's that perfect night she won her first ever plaque, specifically off her third time nomination at RTP Awards.
The RTP Awards which expands as Radio TV Personality Awards is currently Ghana's most prestigious media award scheme that seeks to honour the nation's radio and TV personalities who demonstrate higher media excellence in their work field.
Big Events, the organizer of RTP Awards, monitors the role play progress of Ghana's radio and TV presenters by the year and thus crowns the most deserving presenter in each set category. Contestant scores are accumulated through a public vote system within a 3 week deadline period prior to the main event when the awards are given.
At this year's RTP [the 7th edition] which was staged inside the Accra Conference Center, Conscious Queen won the Radio Reggae Show of the year award with her Sabathical reggae show dubbed Rasta's Jet. Her win comes with a party-worthy record, she being the first female reggae presenter to have won the award in that now seventh-year ran category.
