1. Shatta Rako, our guest for tonight, is working on a new song titled "Dem Luv Da Dead". He's doing it with Jah Lead, another melodious singer in the Ghanaian reggae-dancehall space.
"Dem Luv Da Dead" was inspired by the death of the Ghanaian female artiste called Ebony who passed away in a painful auto accident on 9th February. In the song, Rako addresses the issue of Ghanaians not loving their celebrities while they are alive but showing loads of love to them when they are dead.
Shatta Rako will tell us more about "Dem Love Da Dead" in his interview right soon on the show.
2. Blakk Mexxiah has announced the pending release of "Sledge Hammer". This time he sings about what the women want in bed and you can't believe how Blakk Mexxiah put the lyrics to validate women's relationship choices.
"Sledge Hammer" is full of corrective lyrics, lyrics that correct dating or married men's love-making deficiencies. No low performance man, after listening to "Sledge Hammer", wouldn't be poised to fix his bedroom dysfunctions quickly.
3. Ivorian reggae songstress Mamma Kaffe has made ready her next release this month. She calls it "Love Party".
"Love Party" is that lovers rock reggae tune every empress can't resist to jam to. The storyline is relatable to by all who cherish their partners and spend quality time with them.
Currently, Mama Kaffe is in France to promote her album and also work out some tour deals.
4. All Ivory Coast goes crazy this month. The 10th edition of the MASA festival hits the capital Abidjan next week and the city will be switched to a frenzy mode.
MASA which is translated as Market for African Performing Arts is an Ivorian festival which is staged to celebrate African arts, culture, food, and the continent.
This year, MASA starts in Abidjan from 10th March to 17th March.
5. Reggae super icon, Jimmy Cliff is booked to perform in the UK this quarter. He will play on 5th July in London Roundhouse and then on 8th August in Glasgow.
He then moves to Zurich for a concert on 22nd May and then to Japan on 25 May to perform in Tokyo Liquid Room.
6. Iwan completes his Ethiopian tour today. He began his tour early last month. His team back home has strung up a series of TV and radio interviews and concerts for him. Iwan leaves Ethiopia for Ghana early next week.
7. The rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy gets even more keen and hot after Zylofon Media adds Shatta Wale to the label's mist of artiste.
Stonebwoy was the first signed to Zylofon Media label before Shatta Wale, but it is rumoured that he feels intimidated being a label mate to Shatta Wale......so he has decided to terminate his deal with Zylofon fearing that Wale will give him a very tough in-house competition. We are hinted that Zylofon is still in talks with Stonebwoy, so we trust his contract termination move won't be made should Zylo be able to convince him to stay.
8. K1MG (King One Music Group) released a video documentary of Kurtis Yardie just yesterday and it's so amazing how fans are making so much noise about the documentary.
Kurtis Yardie hasn't released any single yet for the label, but it was management's decision to open the year with this video documentary prior to releasing his new singles.
