Jamaican reggae superstar Beres Hammond is set to bring his mightily soulful sounds to a run of UK dates this summer, and will be joined by genre traversing performer Sanchez at these shows.

Hammond has enjoyed a lengthy career that has seen him produce various styles of music over the decades, with funked up reggae jams in the 70’s fusion band Zap Pow, to the digital beats of the 80’s dancehall 'What one Dance Can Do'. In the 90s he enjoyed great success with classical hits like 'Tempted to Touch' and 'Who Say', 'Putting up Resistance' 'Come Back Home' and 'Double Trouble' and he will deliver all of this at his run of summer shows.

Sanchez will also work through his huge back catalogue at the shows, dipping into R&B, hardcore dancehall, reggae, and religiously calming cuts that enhance the spiritual vibes of his act. His first hit, 'Loneliness,' recorded in 1988, is still one of his biggest tracks and this, plus plenty more, will wow crowds at the handful of August dates the duo will play.

After releasing Undercurrent in 2017, Matisyahu has returned with his latest single “Coming From Afar” featuring Jamaican reggae singer Mavado. “Mavado is the truth,” Matisyahu said of working with the artist. “Getting the chance to work with a real artist in an industry filled with lots of generic singer was a gift.”

The single is a rambunctious reggae-infused track that finds both Matis and Mavado bouncing along in their comfort zones as they swap verses. Matis sticks to rapping this time around, while Mavado provides the melody. “Having the opportunity to create with him was one of the highlights of my career so far. He is truly a special star and we are coming from afar,” Matis added.
