As another August is approaching, it’s that time of the year when DJ Nature Won is most active —- busily finalizing the processes towards his annual event dubbed “Heights of Reggae Dancehall” which he stages to deepen the impact depth reggae and dancehall have dug in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
Coming off in the third weekend in August, this year’s edition (the 4th edition) falls on 25th August and it will also be staged in Akuma Village, just like the previous editions.
According to DJ Nature Won, the sole organizer, Heights of Reggae Dancehall ’18 is divided into two performance segments: a studio record playback segment and a live band performance segment, the latter being a difference the previous editions lacked.
Another difference added to this edition’s package is the import of two foreign artistes: Anthony Mayer of US and King Benj-I of Jamaica. Both are listed alongside the nine home headliners, stretching the total to eleven.
Just like before, this edition will also be a long night of several epic performances, having an official tall list of over 20 home artistes who wouldn’t even will to miss the tip of the mic.
The nine home artistes headlining the event are: Iwan, Ras Kuuku, Kojo Kombolo, Osagyefo, Kwame Partan, Blak Mexxiah, Konkarah, XLNC, Abban.
Jah Love, Conscious Queen and Pop Khali are the MCs for the night.
