Nature Won Sound International, headed by DJ Nature Won, won the trophy last Saturday 20th April at Lava Production’ 2019 4/20 concert dubbed BAP [Bring A Pot].
BAP was a homage gig dedicated to the worldwide celebration of marijuana as part of Ghana’s top 4/20 commemorative function of the herb to deep-educate the public about the herb’s economic benefits and medical significance, topped by the need for its legalization in Ghana.
The sound clash session was incorporated into BAP’s menu as a side treat to push the beauty and fun of sound system culture to the Ghanaian reggee-dancehall fans. Set between Nature Won Sound Int and Fyah Krew Sound, the clash was obviously a very tough one as both sound camps have a venomous dub box in their wild arsenals.…….but there still would have been a winner eventually even if there was a tie and an extra break-point session had to be slotted in.
Lava Production cracked the contest into four rounds and warned that it will slap up the lock-off call to declare the winner if a side clocks a win lead across the first three rounds.
The round tiers were:
1st Round : Introduction [strictly dubplate tug] 20 minutes.
2nd Round: [Strictly Ganja Songs, dubplate and 45 plays] 20 minutes
3rd Round: [Strictly Ghanaian Dubplates] 10 minutes
4th Round: [Dub Fi Dub Shots]
Nature Won Sounds Int broke the clash at lock-off point with a straight-up first-three round consecutive lead passed by mass-judgment and panel ruling . It was then declared the winner. Rival side Fyah Krew Sound was rocked up by the Voltarian twins Etse Far-I and Ras Kalio. Nature Sound Int was rocked up by DJ Nature Won and his road artiste Blak Mexxiah who mans the mic as the sound’s warrior MC.
