Ras Eddy, a.k.a Bongo Irits, Leader of the Baifikrom Nyabinghi House and Chairman of the Central Regional Branch of the Rastafari Council is saying that the Council through its various programs, provide a perfect socio-economic platform for networking amongst Rastafari in Ghana and the world over.
He said this in an interview granted to i360e.com on the 19th of February 2021, when some members of the Council’s Executive Committee payed a visit to the house to hold deliberations with members on the important topic of an insurance scheme for all Rastafari; all in preparations towards the impending 6th National Rastafari Conference, scheduled for the 2nd of March.
“The launch of the Rastafari Farmers and Traders Cooperatives, the National Nyabinghi Groundation held annually on 2nd November, the National Rastafari Conference and the AARG are all programs and initiatives that foster socio-economic networking” he said while imploring all mansions and branches to keenly take part.
AARG, meaning the All Africa Rastafari Gathering is a pan- African trade expo, adopted by the Rastafari Continental Council(RCC), at which Rastafari across the continent exhibit goods and engage in intra-African trade. It is held annually between the 1st and 10th of November in an RCC country and will come off in Tanzania this year.
