The tail of Blak Mexxiah's 2022 was a flight-mode season, copping two tour tickets for a little-over-a-month gig run in Gambia and an immediate next two month sequel gig in UK. The dancehall head is now back to his home country Ghana with an intense publicity pressure in his hot brain --- and this his eager-to-burst-anytime-now heat is mostly like to translate into an unwavering series of publicity activities this month onwards.
Perhaps, the team's investment anger to secure a vast space for Blak Mexxiah in the global music market stemmed from their seeing him as a high potential music export and or his good old Osibisa fame when he toured with the Osibisa band as a teen. Sort of, a been-there-done-that reload for a young chap that faced an abrupt pause and they're now springboarding him towards a continued fame that will dig back his long lost fortune.
During the UK tour, Blak Mexxiah recorded a joint with Jamaica's Cy Klone. He also shot a part video of a new song dubbed "Dem Ah Bawl" in Birmingham. "Dem ah Bawl"'s continuation shoot will be done in Ghana.
Again on Blak Mexxiah's post-UK calendar, aside the release of the Cy Klone joint dubbed "Sunshine" is a gig inside Osu's Flip Bar and another or two elsewhere, multiple videoshoots of orphaned songs that he left before flying to UK, a few year-end radio and TV interviews, recording of his final set of 2022 songs and the start of his massive social media handle promotion.
Blak Mexxiah's other collaboration that's set ready is "Odopa" which features Prince Bright of Buk Bak. "Odopa" is targeted to hit the Jamiaca chart when the video is ready --- according to Blak Mexxiah.
The America-based Tronic 1 Records has carved a guest appearance for Blak Mexxiah on Jamaica's Sugar Minot's last album which will be released in December.
