The PR suite of Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards after issuing a public press release has further furnished its media affiliates with news of the scheme's soon-to-happen launch and maiden edition date ---- a timely publicity that hit town as the best early new year news for the duo-genre's overly recognition-starved artistes and its stakeholders in Ghana.

As stated in the PR suite's media hint, the GRDA nomination window will be open for filing in April, but the award event will be staged in August in Accra, Ghana's capital city.

The launch comes off before April, also in Accra.

Info from source said the GRDA (Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards) board consists of Ahuma Ocansey Bosco, Doris Lomo, Mawuena Safi, Nyamehehe Samuel, James Afetorgbor, Black Santino, Eddy Ranks and African Star.

The GRDA academy that's charged with a 40% complimentary vote count is of 30 members drawn from various media expertises.

Also enshrined in the GRDA activity plan aside awarding artistes, is a future establishment of a start-of-the-art music recording studio that will be dedicated to executing various artiste projects.

The GRDA technical outfit is currently ready to offer live band performance lessons to upcoming artistes that are not yet privy to the basics in band concert practices. It is a major GRDA agenda to place insistence on live band performance across its events, as the scheme frowns on on-stage playback of records.

The emergence of GRDA (Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards) for many future decades would be the prime fierce urge that ever sparked both young Ghanaian and established reggae-dancehall artistes to hone their craft to a higher competitive level that will help sell Ghana to the global music market.

The above assessment is even more so as Ghana's strongest musical exports are rather firmly fostered in reggae and dancehall than in
Afrobeats --- so the GRDA being a powerful award scheme authority that is committed to the business welfare of reggae and dancehall in Ghana will definitely institute a market-space supremacy of reggae and dancehall over all the other music genres brewed in Ghana. Ghana is a reggae-dancehall nation, per a honest survey.
