Lyoni Jones Performs At University of Ghana at Pan-Nkrumaist Convention 2018 tomorrow

Reggae/world music songstress  Lyoni Jones will be at the Pan-Nkrumaist Convention 2018 tomorrow to serve the honourable audience of the event a good run of good conscious music during the intermittent break.

Lyoni is a black revolutionary consciousness artiste with powerful musical contents that validate the mass political insistence on worldwide freedom for black people. Her music speaks of the struggle of the freedom fighters like Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Kwame Nkrumah and others who had Pan-Africanism and the human worth of the black race at heart.

Off her brief but meaningful stage playlist at the Pan-Nkrumaist Convention tomorrow, Lyoni will perform “Rise Africa” as her lead theme song, among her other songs. “Rise Africa” is a very powerful revolutionary piece that strongly tells all of Africa [whether old and young, weak or strong] to defend the continent and protect it against external exploitation, imperialist conspiracies and unscrupulous looting. It is a song that empowers the African in every aspect of life.

The highlight speech dignitaries on the event bill are: Ekow Duncan, Cynthia Hewett, Professor Ivan Addae-Mensah, Anes Haffar, Dr. Thomas and George Baffour. The theme for the convention is “Is There A Place For Nkrumah’s Ideas in today’s Ghana”.

Pan-Nkrumaist Convenrion 2018 is being hosted by CNNA [The Concerned Nkrumaists of North America]. The event will be held inside the Bank of Ghana auditorium, University of Ghana. It’s a two date run: September 20 and 21.
