Suge Knight, the founder and CEO of Western Achievement & Excellence Awards, has announced that this year's staging of the scheme comes off 30th December in Takoradi inside the Akroma Plaza.
The Western Achievement & Excellence Awards [WAEA] is an annual scheme that focuses on awarding excelling institutions and personalities in the western region of Ghana.
Though on the 8th of January this year, Suge Knight flew in from London to man the maiden staging of the Western Achievement & Excellence Awards which was dated 2022, he still would like to stage the second edition of the scheme this December and even dub it for 2022 again.
Explaining why 2022 gets both the maiden and second editions of Western Achievement & Excellence Awards, Suge Knight said "the maiden edition was a tardy staging for December 2021, but we pushed it further to January 2022, just so the scheme's academy could have extra time for tertiary phase research and planning."
Reacting to double staging of the scheme in same year, critics suggested the scheme recalls the maiden edition plaques and back-date them to 2021, because possible repeat winners in December might be having two 2022-dated plaques for the same category they have won twice.
It is stated in the company's biography that its focus is strictly on Western Region, but Suge Knight's LondonHills Production is now suspected to be dotting further auspices along the coastal regions by planning to host awards events for Central Region and the Greater Accra Region too anytime soon.
Gradually, LondonHills will gain national popularity as an awarder institution of excellence honours as it is building a sub-hub of multiple awards schemes for the Western, Central and Greater Accra regions and may in the near future spread out to other regions.
Suge Knight's LondonHills Production is running talent development programs across the Western Region. It is positively impacting the region's sports, movie, music, entrepreneurialism and providing charity to the needy.
.... 8th March, 2022.
