A little to the month's half, the 13play artiste profile train shot its highlight into the Ghanaian gospel domain and hit on a newsworthy Church of Pentecost product, Regina Botwe ---- a fine songstress whose fire brand sweeps around as a pure epitome of Christ's ministry and her now infant discography is evident of a multiple-theme musical service that's cut to extend the very work of the good old dedicated Christian adherents.
A nearly deep dive into Regina's immediate life events prior to her entry into professional gospel music ministration got her giving us a heartbreaking testimony of a life stage where there seemed to be no hope but a stark bleak future which she eventually got illuminated through fiery prayers and sparked her raw singing gift up with the motivation to sing to the world the great saving grace God has shown her.
Having broken out from the ugly yoke that held her life back in a troubling pensive state that almost spelled stagnation on her hopes, Regina Botwe thought it due appreciation to thank God for His grace and thus wrote Thanksgiving songs (and worship ones too) of which "Odomfo" stood out as the favourite that would be recorded as her professional music career opening song not too much later.
In her pressing poise to hit the studio in 2021 to get her maiden piece tracked and mastered for release to launch her ready career, the ever-eager Regina dialogued with Pastor Emmanuel Kyei Boate (a famous Church of Pentecost worship minister who is also the leader of Voice of Pentecost, Accra) about her dire intention to start recording her songs and he recommended Music 360 Studios to her. She had her debut single "Odomfo" recorded right there and she released it on 1st December 2021.
"Odomfo" was friendly received by the Ghanaian Christian community, thus it confirmed a promised great future for Regina.
Sharing the means through which she receives lyrics, Regina Botwe recalled a childhood supernatural experience series of hers about her having repeat dreams of her little raw-talented self singing to large audiences. She had later also had confirmatory prophecies from powerful men of God telling her that she would be a great musician so she should be focus on a music ministration mission. Ignited with these prophecies from different seers and her inner convictions of her near future music career, singing was then a quest she wouldn't renege on. She took it serious relentlessly.
Getting songwriting inspirations from trances, deep thoughts, revelations, and having the rare creative ability to build lyrics from visions and glances is evident that Regina has divinely anointed strides in higher spiritual realms --- even as some forms of her songwriting inspirations are of the tertiary level that's not identifiable with average songwriters.
Inside her infant discography currently sits three singles: "Odomfo" (The Gracious One") which is a worship-themed piece, Songs of the Cross Volume 1 --- a medley of Church of Pentecost songs that are storied around Jesus Christ's ordeals, and "Afe Wei" (This Year).--- her latest single which was released on 1st July 2023.
"Odomfo" was produced by Music 360 Studios. "Songs of the Cross" was produced by Tiero Records. "Afe Wei" was produced by The Boss P. I.
While pushing out promo singles towards the building of her first generation fan base, Regina is simultaneously working on her debut album which she looks forward to release in 2024.
Regina Botwe is a Mrs to Rev Philip Botwe of the Church of Pentecost in Accra. Aside her diversified supportive role to her husband's ministry, she is keen with the Virtuous Ladies Wing of the branch of the Church of Pentecost where she worships and she's in great service to the children's ministry there too. Regina routinely sings at church, performing cover pieces and her originals as well.
Asked whether she has a running charity foundation yet, Regina replied that she hopes to establish a care home for the elderly and widows who are less-privileged. Not just that, but she has moves to embark on humanitarian projects in deprived rural areas in Ghana.
