One Family Yard and Ruki Foundation donated a charity pack of assorted food items to the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled as a social responsibility gesture  off the birthday celebration of Ruki on Saturday 9th September, 2023.

Ruki is a reggae and dancehall artiste under the One Family Yard label. She simultaneously operates Ruki Foundation as her self-brand charity concern alongside One Family Yard's social responsibility activities to offer a twin force to complement the record label's humanitarian efforts towards the underprivileged in several communities in and outside Accra, Ghana.

Ruki's charity birthday food pack was presented to the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled by her record label CEO and manager Martin Quarpong and herself. The pack was received by Emmanuel Laryea, the director at Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled.

The day of the presentation was Ruki's birthday, so she marked the celebration with the GSPD staff and inmates by spending some fun time on their premises to interact with them after they received her donation.

Apparently, the donation was a Ruki Foundation act. One Family Yard threw in a managerial support to co-officiate the presentation.

Ruki's family, the Jawando's, were also present to support her deliver the donation. Also present were Nana Akua (Brave) and Bella Domfeh (Bold).

Ruki is branded by One Family Yard as the Queen of Hausa reggae-dancehall in Ghana. She also bears the moniker "Lava Queen" which signifies her fiery intent for a better world made possible by good music.

In recent years, Ruki had a community music tour series themed "Health And Sanitation Tour" in a select few vantage towns in Accra to educate the public about community cleanliness and health issues. She was well-received so much that her fan base had an expansion in the heat of the tour.

Ruki is busy in the studio cooking new singles, some of which are international collaborations featuring artistes in Uganda, Guinea, Nigeria, Jamaica, others.

Ruki is fully named as Rukayatu Abubarkar Jawando.
